Jeff Kupsky to leave TBS

LONDON -- Turner Broadcasting System stalwart Jeff Kupsky, the prexy for Europe, Middle East and Africa, is quitting after three decades with the company. Kupsky, who joined Turner in 1981, will exit in the next few weeks. The exec re-located to Europe from Turner's Atlanta headquarters in 1997 to launch a regional business development office. He became president in 2007. Kupsky's decision to quit is understood to pre-date last month's announcement that RTL Group CEO Gerhard Zeiler had been appointed as president of TBS International. TBS chairman and CEO Phil Kent said: "There's no channel, acquisition or progression of Turner's business in EMEA that Jeff has not been directly involved with. "He has been consistent in his business acumen, negotiations and calm demeanor, and he leaves Turner with our gratitude and respect." Contact the Variety newsroom at news@variety.com
