Pink Floyd Pig Flies Over London

According to the Associated Press, organizers used a replica of the original vinyl pig, which has been in storage for 35 years but was discovered to be leaky. During the original photo shoot, the pig broke free and floated into the flight path for Heathrow Airport. It was later found in a farmer's field. Under the banner Why Pink Floyd?, EMI begins a marketing blitz today that will roll out additional DVDs, Blu-Ray discs, SACDs, iPhone apps and a new single-album Best Of collection. In addition to reissuing classic albums, the label is also making available full "experience editions," offering diehard fans the opportunity to immerse themselves in a deeper way with additional related content. Storm Thorgerson, the band's longtime art director, supervised the visual design for the project, which includes new booklets and DVD menus, while archivist Lana Topham oversaw the restoration of many films. Disney's 'Avatar' Theme Park: What We Want To See

As a general rule, I really try hard to avoid seeing movie trailers. They're just so spoiler-y these days! Most people love them, but I don't like the fact that I often see all the good scenes before I see the actual movie. But every now and again someone crafts a more artful trailer that does the job of piquing my curiosity perfectly. The new teaser for "J. Edgar" is a fine example. The director/star combo of Clint Eastwood and Leonardo DiCaprio is intriguing but since I'm not a U.S. history buff, the story of FBI founder J. Edgar Hoover is less so. But now that I've seen the trailer I'm totally hooked! It's artsy, stylized, features shots of all the principal cast members, and is beautifully scored. In other words, it's total award season bait. A brown-eyed DiCaprio as J. Edgar provides most of the narrative via voice over. "When morals decline and good men do nothing, evil flourishes," he begins, his voice speaking over a scene of an explosion being triggered in the living room of wealthy home. "A society unwilling to learn from the past, is doomed," he continues, over clips of the civil rights and war protests. "We must never forget our history. We must never lower our guard." From here on out, the trailer covers more of the action and drama of the film, Hoover's formation of the FBI, his appointment of rumored lover Clyde Tolson (played by Armie Hammer), his relationship with his mother (Judi Dench) and hints at a professional and personal downfall. "It's time this generation learned the difference between villain and hero," a visibly aged DiCarprio as Hoover says at the end. "Even great men can be corrupted." What do you think of the trailer? Seth Rogen Confirms 'Apocalypse' Cast: Jonah Hill, James Franco And More!

Any time we get a chance to catch up with Seth Rogen it is a good time, if only to hear his adorable giggle. Even better when the discussion at hand involves his excellent upcoming film "50/50" as well as his long-in-development survival horror comedy "Jay and Seth vs. The Apocalypse." "It doesn't look like he's willing to push things as far as we [are]," Rogen said with that catchy laugh of his. Which means that whatever the guys want to do has to really be pushing the envelope, considering Radcliffe's well-received and R-rated turn in "Extras" and such. But Baruchel has said they want the film to be offensive, so maybe it's a safe choice for D-Rad at this point in his career. "It's going to be a pretty offensive vision of the apocalypse," he once told us. "And I want a lot of dead celebrity cameos. Because L.A. is full of famous people, I'd like all of the cameos to be them as corpses." Perhaps Radcliffe doesn't want to play a dead version of himself? ABC Buys Sander/Moses Circus Drama, Fox Goes For Medical Dramedy

EXCLUSIVE: ABC is going to the circus with Bazirkus, a soap from writer Mitch Kapner (Sam Raimi’s Oz: The Great and Powerful) and Sander/Moses (The Ghost Whisperer). Meanwhile, Fox continues to search for a new medical franchise with a script deal for a dramedy from Gossip Girl writer-producer Jessica Queller and Shawn Levy and Marty Adelstein’s 21 Laps/Adelstein Prods. Bazirkus is based loosely on 32-year-old Nicole Feld of Ringling Bros & Barnum and Bailey Circus, who grew up in the circus her grandfather bought in 1967 and has become the first female producer in Ringling Bros’ history. The ABC project, which will be set at a fictional circus, is a family/workplace soap about unfulfilled dreams and great expectations in the circus world where everyone is pushing the limits, personally and professionally, to reinvent themselves as they reinvent their world.
